About the Work
This rare view depicts the once-renowned bathing resort of Walterswil in the Canton of Zug and comes from Pieter van der Aa's magnificent plate work 'La Galerie agréable du Monde' (Leiden, circa 1730). Van der Aa was one of the most prolific publishers of the Baroque era — Swiss views from his work are especially sought after by collectors.
